A Marinated, Grilled Pork Tenderloin Meal

Pork is a leaner alternative and cooking pork tenderloin on the grill provides enough food for the entire family. Follow this recipe for grilled pork tenderloin featuring a cilantro and soy marinade that creates a juicy main course filled with flavor. For a tasty grilled side dish, use the recipe below to prepare red potatoes.


  • 2 pork tenderloins
  • 1 handful of cilantro leaves, minced
  • ¾ cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, minced

Step 1: Combine light brown sugar, ginger, soy sauce, and cilantro leaves in a small bowl, whisking to combine the sugar with the other ingredients.

Step 2: Put the pork tenderloins into a resealable plastic bag. Pour in the marinade.

Step 3: Squeeze as much air from the bag as possible while sealing it. Place the bag into the refrigerator.

Step 4: Let the pork tenderloins marinate for between 2 and 6 hours.

Step 5: Heat the grill to medium. Remove the tenderloins from the marinade. Discard the marinade and the plastic bag.

Step 6: Grill the tenderloins for 15 to 18 minutes or until the internal temperature of the fattest part of the pork reaches 140 degrees.

Step 7: Let the tenderloins sit for 5 minutes prior to carving them.

Ingredients for Grilled Red Potatoes:

  • 1 pound red potatoes
  • 3 springs rosemary, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Heavy-duty aluminum foil

Step 1: Wash the potatoes, pat them dry, and cut them into 1×1-inch cubes

Step 2: Toss the potatoes in the olive oil. Sprinkle with rosemary, salt, and pepper, and toss again, coating evenly.

Step 3: Tear off a 2-foot piece of aluminum foil. Pile the potatoes into the center of it and fold the sides in to create an air-tight pouch, leaving room for the potatoes to steam. Repeat this step until all the potato cubes are in pouches.

Step 4: Adjust grill temperature to medium-low. To grill the potatoes while the pork tenderloin is cooking, place the potato packets on an elevated grill rack. Let the potatoes cook for 15 minutes and then peel back the foil carefully to test for doneness with a fork. Continue cooking potatoes until they are cooked completely through.
