BBQ Chicken Wings That Will Knock Your Socks Off!

Whether it is football season or a dog day of summer, BBQ chicken wings are family favorites. There are so many ways to prepare wings that the recipes could form an entire cookbook. You may already have preferred concoctions but try the recipes below because they will become new favorites. Masters of the grill, prepare to BBQ some wings!

Ingredients for Caribbean Jerk BBQ Chicken Wings:

• 18 chicken wings
• 2 cups mustard-based BBQ sauce
• 1/3 cup brown sugar
• 1 six-ounce can of crushed pineapple
• 2 tablespoons soy sauce
• 1 teaspoon ground ginger
• Jerk seasoning
• Pepper
• Salt
• Saucepan
• Spoon
• Basting brush

Step 1: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

Step 2: Combine all ingredients but wings and jerk seasoning in a saucepan and stir to mix. Cook on a burner set to medium heat until sauce is heated through, then remove from heat.

Step 3: Rub the jerk seasoning into the chicken wings. Grill wings until cooked through, approximately 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from the grill.

Step 4: Brush the wings with the sauce and serve.

Ingredients for Best BBQ Chicken Wings:

• 1 ½ cups ketchup
• ½ cup onion, chopped finely
• ½ cup cider vinegar
• 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
• 1/3 cup brown sugar
• 1/4 cup canola oil
• 2 teaspoons chili powder
• ½ teaspoon ground cumin
• ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
• 1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
• 3 teaspoons minced garlic
• Large saucepan
• Mixing spoon

Wings ingredients:

• 30 frozen chicken wings, thawed
• ¼ cup olive oil
• ¼ cup cider vinegar
• 1/8 teaspoon pepper
• 1/8 teaspoon salt
• Large, resealable plastic bag
• Paper towel
• Grill brush

Step 1: Heat the canola oil in the saucepan, add the onion, and sauté until tender. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute. Stir in vinegar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, cumin, cayenne, and chili powder. Simmer for 8 to 10 minutes uncovered, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and stir in hot pepper sauce. Set 2/3 cup aside to serve.

Step 2: Combine olive oil, pepper, salt, and vinegar in the plastic bag. Add the wings in batches and turn the bag to coat the wings.

Step 3: Moisten the paper towel with cooking oil and use it to treat the grill rack with a light coating of oil. Adjust the grill temperature to medium.

Step 4: Grill the wings, covered, for 12 to 16 minutes, occasionally turning. Brush wings with some BBQ sauce.

Step 5: Grill uncovered until juices run clear, about 8 to 10 minutes. Turn and baste wings several times during grilling. Remove wings from grill and serve with the reserved BBQ sauce.
