Grilled Marinated Apples With Mint Ingredients:
- 3 Granny Smith apples, core and each one cut into four ½-inch slices
- 2/3 cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon fresh mint, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Non-stick cooking spray
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- Large plastic bag with zip top
- Basting brush
Step 1: Combine the orange juice, mint, honey, vanilla extract, ginger, and black pepper in the plastic bag. Add the apple slices, then seal the bag and marinate for 1 to 2 hours in the refrigerator, occasionally turning the bag.
Step 2: Coat the grill grate with cooking spray and prepare the grill for medium heat.
Step 3: Remove the apple slices from the bag and reserve the marinade. Put the apple slices on the grill grate and grill them for three minutes on each side, basting with marinade and turning frequently.
Step 4: Remove the apple slices from the grill and arrange them on a serving platter. Drizzle remaining marinade on top before serving.
